The role
An exciting opportunity for an Associate Lecturer (Paediatric Enhanced/Advanced Practitioner). You will have the opportunity to work closely and share your knowledge and expertise with students completing the Health Assessment Child module, Essentials of Specialist Practice and Health Assessment module (CCNs), and Independent and Supplementary Prescribing (V300) module if you are a registered V300 prescriber. Students complete these modules either as part of the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme, PGDip Primary and Community Care SPQ Community Children’s Nursing programme, PGDip Primary and Community Care SPQ District Nursing programme or as a standalone CPD module.
There will be lots of interaction with students and around 1 day a week of teaching, alongside administrative tasks to support the delivery and assessment of modules. This role offers up to 250 hours per year based around our module timetables.
About you
We are looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare education and seeking an opportunity to work closely with the students from a range of registered healthcare professions.
You will have a professional registration with the NMC or HCPC.
You will be able to demonstrate currency and expertise at Enhanced or Advanced Practice in the assessment and management of paediatrics. This will include postgraduate study including the Health Assessment of Children (or equivalent).
You will ideally be registered with your professional regulatory body as an Independent and Supplementary prescriber, although we may consider applicants who are not registered Independent and Supplementary prescribers.
We will consider both qualified teachers and those who do not hold a formal teaching qualificationbut can demonstrate a commitment to teaching and supporting students.
