Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an Associate Town Planner in Bristol to lead planning projects from strategy through to permission. You will represent clients, mentor junior staff, and support business development across the team.

The role requires RTPI Chartered membership and a Town Planning qualification, with strong knowledge of the UK planning system and the Bristol market. A collaborative approach and client relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong report writing, communication, and client management skills.
  • Experience delivering planning applications, appeals, and strategic planning projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK planning system and development process.
  • Experience working within the Bristol and wider South West market, with an understanding of the regional planning landscape.
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships while identifying opportunities for new business.
  • Collaborative approach with confidence to manage projects independently and support the development of junior colleagues.

Associate Town Planner

Location: Bristol

We are seeking an Associate Town Planner to join our growing team in Bristol. This role involves managing planning projects from strategy to permission, building client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and supporting business development.

Key Requirements
