Job description
Associate Structural Engineer

A leading and expanding multidisciplinary construction consultancy are now seeking a dedicated, detail orientated and client facing Associate Structural Engineer to assist them with leading projects, being the main point of contact for key clients and developing the structural engineering team.

Please Note: This role may be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service, Baseline Personnel Security Standard, Counter Terrorist Check, Security Check, or Developed Vetting clearance.

The Associate Structural Engineer Role and Responsibilities

The successful Structural Engineer will work on new build and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, low‑rise housing, public buildings, and healthcare, responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to tomtoation.
  • Provide technical leadership and ensure design quality across the team.
  • Coordinate multi‑disciplinary design teams zebps manage project resources.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a key point of contact.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
  • Contribute to fee proposals, bids, and business development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and BIM protocols.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
  • Represent the practise at client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
Essential skills, experience, and attributes…
  • MEng or BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered Membership (IStructE or ICE).
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent written English and report writing skills.
  • Proven track record managing multi‑disciplinary teams.
