Associate Structural Engineer – leading engineering consultancy

Location : Birmingham

Salary : Competitive

The Role

As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will join an award-winning engineering consultancy in their Birmingham office. This role will be working on projects with a range of materials and in a number of sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a leading role in the delivery of structural engineering projects
  • Create and manage specifications, drawings, reports, and calculations
  • Successfully communicate with contractors, clients, architects and other colleagues
  • Evaluate others' designs produced by others to a high technical quality
  • Make sure projects are kept within budget, identify resource, and report accordingly
  • Join site inspections, design meetings and progress reviews
  • Manage junior team members, sharing knowledge and experiences
  • Make sure work complies with sustainability goals, statutory requirements and relevant design codes,
  • Ensure existing relationships are upheld and create new business where possible
About You
  • At least 7 years of post-graduation experience in Structural engineering
  • Qualified to MEng or above and be a Chartered Engineer or equivalent
  • Have excellent knowledge of construction methods and UK codes
