Themis Recruit is recruiting a Housing Litigator for a City of London practice recognised for excellence. The role focuses on social housing providers and private landlords, offering a modern, progressive firm culture.

Qualified solicitors with 5+ years PQE will handle a busy housing litigation caseload, including disrepair, possession, EPA and forfeit attempts, with hybrid working (minimum one day in the office).

Role Overview

Due to continued growth, our client are now seeking a dynamic and experience housing litigator to join their esteemed team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of housing litigation matters, including but not limited to defending disrepair claims, possession, civil injunctions, defending EPA claims, ASB, and fraud.
• Utilise strong expertise in landlord and tenant matters, AST, and/or leasehold matters, with a focus on forfeiture claims.
• Deliver exceptional client care and maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Actively participate in marketing and networking initiatives to promote the firm's services.
• Maintain monthly time recording and billing targets, ensuring consistent performance.
• Supervise and manage support services, including secretarial and junior staff.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
• Proven experience in a housing management legal department within a solicitor’s firm or in-house.
• Track record of successfully managing a busy caseload of housing litigation matters.
• Familiarity with case management systems and legal procedures.
