Ready to shape the future of MedTech, working with the latest SaaS technologies to transform patient care?

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our experienced engineering team. This is an incredible opportunity for a talented early-career developer to contribute to core product features, work with a modern cloud-native stack, and grow quickly within a structured, supportive environment.

You will be embedded in agile, multidisciplinary teams, responsible for developing, testing, and deploying high-quality code that directly impacts patient outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with committed developers, designers, and clinical teams who share a unified vision for making healthcare better through smarter use of technology.

The Role

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be a hands‑on contributor, focused on delivering features within an agile team. You will receive support and guidance in the role to help you develop.

  • Feature Development: Write clean, well‑tested, and efficient code to implement new features that deliver meaningful outcomes for users across our SaaS platform, working primarily in Python and TypeScript.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in a cross functional team, communicating daily with other Engineers and Product Managers including daily stand‑ups, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Senior Software and Test Automation engineers to understand test cases, conduct unit and integration testing, and ensure code is reliable and performant.
  • Code Review: Participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards and share knowledge across the team.
  • Deployment Pipeline: Learn and contribute to our CI/CD pipeline to help deploy features reliably and quickly to a cloud environment.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to code, architecture, and regulatory requirements (under guidance).
  • Learning & Growth: Proactively seek out new technologies and techniques, taking ownership of your professional development with support from senior engineers.
About You

We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented early‑career Associate Software Engineer with strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for technology. You thrive in a delivery-focused, agile environment and are eager to learn the complexities of developing software for the medical industry.

For this opportunity you should have:

  • 0-2 years of professional experience (this can include internships, co‑ops, or substantial academic/personal projects).
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational proficiency in a relevant programming language.
  • Basic understanding of web development (front‑end, back‑end, or both) and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Git or another modern version control system.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

It is a bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience working in a medical device or regulated industry.
  • Experience with medical imaging or 3D technologies.
  • Experience with a major cloud platform.
  • Experience with automated testing practices (unit, integration).

This is a hybrid role based out of our Belfast HQ, Northern Ireland.
