Job summary

Comxps Ltd in London is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join a Government Client contracting project on a hybrid basis. The role requires SC clearance and a contract length until 31/12/2026, with office presence and remote work balancing to 60% in the office.

The successful candidate will investigate and respond to cyber incidents, use SIEM tools and security solutions to support investigations, and contribute to threat detection and incident response efforts within a government environment.

Qualifications

• Experience investigating and responding to cyber incidents.
• Experience using security tools (EDR, SIEM) to support investigation and response.
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred or Defender/Sentinel).
• Understanding of tools, techniques and procedures used by threat actors.

KEY criteria

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in a position of Cyber Security Analyst
• Working experience of Splunk
• Working experience of M365 (Microsoft Defender / Sentinel / KQL)

Essential

• Experience using security tools (e.g., EDR, SIEM) to support the investigation and response to cyber incidents
• Experience with SIEM tools (experience of Splunk preferred but experience of Microsoft Sentinel or an equivalent SIEM tool is acceptable)
• An understanding of the tools, techniques and procedures commonly used by threat actors
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
