A leading global food company in Slough is seeking an Associate Scientist - Raw Material Compliance to ensure compliance with Material Quality Management for all raw materials. The ideal candidate will manage Material Risk Assessments, support Continuous Improvement initiatives, and collaborate with teams to maintain high-quality standards. Job Description:
We have a Fixed-Term (12 months) role in the Regional Mars Wrigley Q&FS team based in Slough in the position of Associate Scientist - Raw Material Compliance. The role reports directly to the Regional Raw Materials Compliance Manager and will be responsible as part of a team to ensure Mars Wrigley Material Quality Management (MQM) compliance for all raw materials and Pack Quality Management (PQM) compliance for all packaging materials used across manufacturing sites based in the Europe.

Knowledgeable in Quality management tools & systems with preferred Quality and / or Raw Material technical experience (e.g. HACCP Raw materials specifications knowledge / experience)
Knowledgeable in Quality management tools & systems as well as technical Quality & Food Safety experience (e.g. HACCP).
Comfortable working autonomously whilst having good written and verbal communication skills and peer relationship competencies.
Manage and update regional standardised Material Risk Assessments (MRAs) and Packaging Risk Assessments (PRAs) in conjunction with cross-functional teams to ensure MARS Material Quality Management compliance.
Lead MRA / PRA tracking and reporting within a defined set of raw material categories whilst providing input and support for Continuous Improvement related to Material Compliance and systems development.
Administering and maintaining Raw Material and Packaging Material Specifications for existing MARS materials in the designated MARS specification system and working cross-functionally to ensure compliance.
Review of MRA / PRAs Specifications and Inspection Plans according to MARS MQM / PQM Standard and Change Management guidelines.
Translate Inbound Verification Testing requirements from MRAs to receiving site Inspection Plans to ensure our regions manufacturing sites are performing the correct up-to-date inbound checks required on inbound raw materials.
