University of Warwick invites applications for an Associate Professor (Physical AI Sensing) in the WMG - Research department. The role focuses on sensor design, multimodal perception, sensor fusion, and AI-driven interpretation for embodied and Physical AI systems.

You will lead a research program, teach, and contribute to administration, building bridges between WMG and industry partners to solve complex problems in autonomous transport, robotics, and health tech.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field is required or equivalent
• Internationally recognised publications in sensor design or related areas
• Ability to contribute to teaching and research across the group

Responsibilities

• Lead a nationally and internationally recognised research programme in sensor design and AI-driven interpretation
• Provide teaching, supervision, and administrative leadership within the Safe Autonomy Research Group
• Collaborate with industry partners to translate research into impactful solutions
