Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated and emerging Associate People Partner to join our small but mighty People & Culture team. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of HR strategy and operations. The Associate People Partner will work closely with the People Director, the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner and the Central People Operations team to support the Hometrack business, focusing on driving employee engagement, and ensuring the consistent application of our People strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with People Managers and Senior Leaders across Hometrack, becoming a trusted advisor
  • Act as a key point of contact providing support to employees and managers on all matters relating to the employee lifecycle, including:
Culture & Engagement
  • Champion the new Hometrack Behaviours and support the People Director to embed them across all employee touchpoints
  • Partner with Senior Leaders and the DEI networks to contribute to maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
  • Work with the business unit and People Team to organise and promote employee engagement activities and wellness initiatives

Employee Relations & Support

  • Guide managers through the onboarding and off boarding process
  • Act as the initial point of contact for employee enquiries, providing accurate and timely guidance on HR policies, benefits, and standard procedures.
  • Independently manage and resolve employee relations issues end-to-end including investigation, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, occupational health, absence and performance management, coaching line managers and providing pragmatic, commercially‑sound advice throughout the process.
  • Support employees through maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave.
Performance Management & Development
  • Support People Managers to drive a high performance culture in their team - alternative wording suggestion: Contribute insights and ideas to strengthen Hometrack’s high‑performance culture.
People Operations & Projects
  • Partner with our Central People Ops team on administrative areas such as contracts, letters, data cleansing, employee changes, updating org charts etc. to ensure an efficient service and positive employee experience.
  • Lead projects as and when required, including policy rollouts, engagement surveys, DEI initiatives and L&D programmes
  • Proactively suggest new initiatives and build on broader, People‑wide projects in line with our overall People plan and strategy across Hometrack.
Required
  • Experience working in a Human Resources role such as People Advisor
  • Knowledge of UK employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Resourceful and proactive in seeking solutions, whether independently or with internal/external guidance.
  • Passion for technology and AI, with curiosity to learn and leverage these tools in People practices.
Preferred
  • Experience working with an HR Information System (HRIS) such as [Mention specific HRIS, e.g., Workday, BambooHR, SuccessFactors].
  • Experience supporting a specific business unit (e.g., Tech, Sales, Marketing).
  • Analyse people data and trends to inform decisions and improve strategies
