Job summary

M&G is seeking an Associate, Origination & Execution in London to support the marketing, origination and execution of bulk annuities and other de-risking opportunities, taking ownership of assigned activities and progressing them with senior support.

You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, prepare timely responses to queries, and help coordinate across teams to deliver strong client propositions and outcomes in a dynamic BPA market.

Qualifications

• Commercially minded with strong technical skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of bulk annuity transactions or closely aligned role is beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, building effective relationships and understanding client needs.
• Ambitious and self-motivated with ability to use initiative and work independently or in a team.
• Able to prioritise workload to meet multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the marketing, origination and execution of new bulk annuities and other de-risking opportunities, taking ownership of assigned activities.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and support ad-hoc queries and relationship activities.
• Engage with the Employee Benefit Consultant (EBC) and Professional Trustee market and prepare high-quality responses to queries.
• Support the coordination of colleagues across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, pricing, legal and structuring workstreams into client propositions.
• Develop understanding of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines.
• Produce high-quality deliverables for clients and senior internal stakeholders, including presentations and quotations.

Associat e, Origination & Execution

The Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) team, part of Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS), was established in 2021 to leverage M&G's unique position as both an insurer and asset manager. The team develops Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) and other de-risking solutions for UK Defined Benefit pension schemes.

With ambitious growth plans and a target of writing £3-£4bn of new business per year from 2027, the team is continuing to expand and offers the opportunity to join a fast-growing area of the business. This role is focused on supporting the origination and execution of buy-ins, buyouts and other unique transaction structures.

Key Responsibilities for this Role:

• Supporting the marketing, origination and execution of new bulk annuities and other de-risking opportunities , taking ownership of assigned activities and progressing them with appropriate senior support
• Working with internal and external stakeholders and supporting on ad-hoc queries and wider relationship management activities
• Engaging with the Employee Benefit Consultant (EBC) and Professional Trustee market and preparing high-quality , timely respon ses to queries and surveys
• Supporting the coordination of colleagues from across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, pricing, legal and structuring workstreams into strong client propositions
• Developing a strong understanding of our novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines
• Supporting the production of high-quality deliverables for clients and senior internal stakeholders, including presentations, quotation documents and responses to contractual requests.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

• Commercially minded with strong technical skills, attention to detail and ability to produce high quality client deliverables
• An understanding of bulk annuity transactions or experience in a closely aligned/client-facing role is beneficial , with a willingness and ability to build expertise in the market
• S trong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate activities across stakeholders and contribute to successful project delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and understand and capture client needs
• Ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to use initiative , and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Able to prioritise workload effectively to cater for multiple competing deadlines
