Job Description

My client is a leading global investment bank with a top Natural Resources division, they have particular strength across the Metals & Mining sector - boasting terrific clients and deal activity (in 2023 and 2024 they DOUBLED their budget). They are proud of their culture and collegiate atmosphere.

Role

As an Associate you will act as an integral part of the deal team; leading financial and metals & mining sector analysis, providing qualitative input to materials, and directing, supporting, and integrating analyst workflow. Associates will be expected to participate in client calls and some presentations, and be accountable for some day to day communication with clients.

You will exhibit:

  • Excellent analytical skills to include business, financial, and industry analysis, preferably with specific application to the metals & mining sector
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Ability to effectively and concisely present detailed quantitative analysis and qualitative commentary
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be creative, insightful and resourceful in performance of duties.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects in an organized manner.
  • Strong capability to independently function and demonstrate initiative as part of a team

  • Strong academic background
  • Associate level investment banker, with strong knowledge and experience of the metals & mining sector highly
