Stantec is seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP (Building Services) team in our Leeds office. This role leads the MEP offering across education and healthcare while delivering projects to high standards.

You will manage project delivery and team performance, support work-winning activities and build long-term client relationships in education and healthcare sectors. You will mentor engineers and drive collaborative, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading MEP teams and delivering complex building services projects.
• Consultancy experience preferred.
• Excellent commercial awareness and client management experience.
• Deep understanding of client priorities in education and healthcare sectors.
• Collaborative leadership style and commitment to team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from inception to delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
• Grow and lead a high-performing MEP engineering team with QA, governance and resource planning embedded.
• Drive work-winning activity alongside Regional Director and MEP Lead; develop long-term client relationships in education and healthcare sectors.
• Mentor team members in technical excellence and drive process improvements across projects.
• Maintain oversight of health and safety, design quality, and client satisfaction on projects.

Job description

Stantec is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP (Building Services) team inour Leeds office. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in growing our MEP offering across sectors particularly education and healthcare while delivering exceptional project outcomes.

You will play a key role across two core areas to include project delivery, and team management.

You will drive and support work-winning activity alongside the Regional Director and MEP Lead. As well as developing long-term relationships with clients in the education and healthcare sectors amongst others.

You will help grow and lead a high-performing team of MEP engineers and technicians, ensuring quality assurance, commercial governance, and resource planning are embedded in every project.

You will champion a collaborative, supportive culture that promotes innovation and development.

You willlead multidisciplinary engineering projects from inception to delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery that meets client specifications. You will maintain oversight of project health, safety, design quality, and client satisfaction. You will drive process improvement and mentor your team in technical excellence.

About you:

Ideally you will have a relevant mechanical engineering qualification at HNC, HND, Bachelors or Master’s level and will ideally be a chartered engineer or working towards membership with a relevant institution. You'
