Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Data Architect at Associate Manager level in London, Bristol or Manchester. Define architecture for high-profile projects, lead data strategy, migration, integration, and data models across clients, with both government and private sector work.

You'll supervise teams, mentor others, ensure architectural principles, and design solutions across microservices, big data, and Azure platforms, combining open source and vendor data technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong architecture and software engineering background.
• Experience defining data strategy, migration and integration.
• Hands-on data architect with Java/Scala/Python as needed.
• Big Data technologies experience.
• Microsoft Azure experience with services.
• Experience with both open source and vendor data platforms.
• Data architecture concepts and approaches.
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Structured and unstructured data design.
• Understanding non-functional drivers for design.
• Data modelling experience.
• Strong Java and REST skills.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for high-profile projects across public and private sectors.
• Define data strategy, migration, integration, models and design.
• Investigate current live applications and systems at client sites.
• Document scope, context and constraints; ensure acceptance.
• Define standards to guide build and deployment of systems.
• Apply architectural principles to finished systems.
• Define enterprise-wide data models across products.
• Propose data storage solutions for distributed systems.
• Create models for micro-services and big-data storage within frameworks.
• Govern and support delivery; line manage and develop others.
