Job description
Role – Associate Landscape Architect
Location – South Yorkshire
Salary - £45 - £55K

We are searching for an Associate Landscape Architect on behalf of a large multidisciplinary consultancy with offices throughout the UK and overseas. They are looking for an experienced project leader in both technical and commercial to work on diverse projects with their Landscape and Urban Design Team.

You will be supporting the regional lead managing, developing and growing the skills of the team while working on large infrastructure schemes for nationally/regionally significant highways and rail projects, to masterplanning and public realm design associated with town centre regeneration, and landscape/townscape assessment for renewable energy or flood alleviation proposals.

Associate Landscape Architect Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture
  • A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
  • Extensive experience of landscape design (inc. public realm and masterplanning), for a range of project types and scales, from large infrastructure in multi-disciplinary teams, to small landscape-only green infrastructure schemes
  • Sound knowledge and experience of landscape planning, particularly leading on landscape/townscape and visual impact assessments;
  • Desirable experience – direct involvement with linear infrastructure projects, notably in highways, rail and energy sectors;
  • Project management/leadership experience including preparation of bids, management of project finance and client relationships;
  • Efficiently managed your own workload and that of your allocated project and regional teams;
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery; both technically and commercially;
  • Experience in line management and/or mentoring, aligned to supporting colleague development.
  • Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills; and
  • Right to work in the UK & full driving licence
