Job description
Chief Programmes Officer (CPO)

A key role to lead WRAP's programme portfolio across multiple geographies and programme areas, ensuring impact and alignment with climate ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of strategic and on‑site programmes, applying behavioural insights and programme evidence.
  • Drive partnership development with governments, businesses, philanthropy and international partners.
  • Provide strategic direction across programme areas and geographies and sit on the Executive Team.
  • Oversee budgets, contracts and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality and impact.
  • Embed a culture of learning, innovation and accountability within programme teams.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Significant senior programme leadership experience delivering complex, multi‑geography sustainability, circular‑economy and environmental programmes.
  • Deep expertise in at least one core WRAP programme area, e.g. food systems, packaging, textiles/fashion, behaviour change or resource management (NetZero).
  • Proven ability to build and influence relationships with government, business, philanthropy and international partners.
  • Strong strategic and operational leadership skills, experience managing budgets, contracts, and large global teams.
  • Excellent communication, partnership‑building and convening skills with credibility across diverse audiences.
  • A passion for sustainability and impact with an inclusive, collaborative leadership style.
Remuneration

Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 (hybrid work)
