Associate Financial Controller – Digital Assets / Trading Platform (London)

A high-growth, technology-driven trading and investment firm operating at the forefront of the digital assets space is looking to hire an Associate Financial Controller to join its London-based finance team.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-scaling business in a highly dynamic and innovative environment, where you will play a key role in building and enhancing a best-in-class finance function.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take on a broad and hands‑on position spanning financial control, reporting, and finance transformation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, trading, and operations, with significant exposure to strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Oversee revenue recognition and reconciliation across multiple revenue streams
• Perform and improve reconciliations across P&L and balance sheet
• Manage group accounting, including intercompany reconciliations
• Act as a key contact for external auditors across multi‑entity audits
• Oversee direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance
• Support accounting and valuation processes for investment activities

Regulatory & Technical

• Assist with capital calculations and regulatory reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial and reporting standards

FP&A & Projects

• Design and enhance internal and external reporting processes
• Support scenario modelling and financial analysis to aid decision-making
• Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders
• Drive automation and process improvements across finance
• Take ownership of finance‑led projects to improve controls and efficiency

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with c.5+ years’ experience
• Strong technical accounting background within a complex or fast‑paced environment
• Experience in trading, financial services, or similarly dynamic businesses is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) is beneficial
• Proactive, hands‑on, and comfortable operating in a scaling environment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
