Slater Heelis in Manchester is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join our highly regarded Family team. You will manage a varied caseload of private family matters, working closely with Partners and senior colleagues on a broad range of instructions, including divorce, financial remedy and private children disputes.

We value a collaborative, client‑focused approach and offer real day‑to‑day access to Partners, a supportive culture and opportunities for progression within a growing firm.

The Role

You'll manage a varied caseload of private family matters, working closely with Partners and senior colleagues on a broad range of instructions, including:

• Divorce and separation
• Financial remedy matters
• Private children disputes, including child arrangements and relocation matters
• Cohabitation disputes
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
• Matters involving complex assets, businesses and high-net-worth individuals

This role offers exposure to excellent quality work and the opportunity to develop your expertise across a broad range of family law matters while building strong relationships with clients and referrers.

You'll also be encouraged to get involved in networking, business development and helping to contribute to the continued success of the team.

About You

We're looking for an individual who combines strong technical ability with empathy, emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for helping clients through difficult periods in their lives.

You'll ideally have:

• 6+ years' PQE in Family Law
• Experience handling a range of family matters, particularly financial remedy and private children work
• Excellent client care and relationship management skills
• The ability to manage a busy caseload effectively
• A collaborative and positive approach to team working
• A desire to contribute to the continued growth of a successful department
