HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
The eRisk systematic trading quant team owns, builds and operates HSBC’s automated trading platform, providing liquidity to clients while managing market making risk. In this role you’ll define, develop, implement, maintain and monitor the performance of automated trading algorithms and strategies used in a fast-paced front office environment. You’ll apply proprietary models, algorithms and supporting infrastructure to help the Markets business price and manage risk for structured and derivative products within the Bank’s operational risk and governance requirements. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across technology and the broader eRisk franchise to improve systems and technical solutions. Success means robust research-led models that perform as intended in production and are supported by appropriate controls, monitoring and escalation. It also means fair outcomes for customers and conduct that supports orderly and transparent financial markets.
