Job summary

Morningstar in London is seeking an Associate Equity Analyst to support senior analysts with stock coverage, modeling, and research projects. This role is based in our London office.

You will liaise with the research team, build detailed DVF/DCF models, and analyze moats and competitive positioning to inform investment views. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field is required; a Chartered Financial Analyst® or CPA designation and/or a Master’s degree in business administration are preferred.
• Independence, critical thinking skills, and a passion for investing, with a bias toward long-term fundamental research and investing.
• Knowledge of various financial models, including discounted cash flow model. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on research projects that assist senior members of the department in evaluating companies’ competitive advantages (or moats), relative positioning within their respective sectors.

The Group: Morningstar’s Research group provides independent analysis on individual securities, funds, markets, and portfolios. Base Salary Compensation Range

GBP 41,800.00-55,733.33

Bonus Target

10% Annual

We expect the compensation and target bonus for this role to fall within the stated range. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
