Why this role matters

As an Energy Projects Associate, you'll play a key role in delivering a range of projects that support the UK's net‑zero future. You'll advise on significant and innovative projects, working with leading developers, supply chain contractors, funders and investors to shape the deals that are driving the future of clean energy.

What you’ll do
  • Advise clients across the life cycle of energy and infrastructure projects, from project inception, to construction, financing, operation, and the decommissioning of such projects.
  • Work across a wide range of technologies including solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, nuclear and heat networks.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of project contracts such as EPC, installation agreements, O&M, route‑to‑market agreements, and grid connection contracts.
  • Support on project financing transactions, sale and purchase of projects – liaising with lenders, investors and sponsors to ensure projects are structured for success.
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues in other disciplines to deliver seamless and commercially focused advice.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationships, helping identify new opportunities in emerging technologies and markets.
What we’re looking for
  • 2+ years PQE with a strong background in energy, infrastructure and/or construction sectors.
  • Familiarity with industry standard forms of construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, JCT is highly desirable.
  • Ability to understand the business drivers behind a project, not just the legal frameworks, and deliver pragmatic advice to clients.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and the commercial models that make them viable.
  • A pro‑active mindset, keen to take ownership and grow your expertise in a fast‑moving sector.
