Job description
Position: Associate Director / Associate Structured & Private Debt (Private Markets)

Location: London (contractual location; other locations cannot be considered)

This role is a full‑time position within Aviva Investors’ Structured & Private Debt team. You will be responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of private debt transactions across multiple countries and business sectors. You will collaborate at senior levels and prepare investment analysis for internal and external committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in financial modelling, structuring and execution of private debt opportunities and derivatives.
  • Prepare and present investment analysis to internal and external investment committees.
  • Engage stakeholders including risk, credit operations and investors.
  • Research new asset classes and conduct risk/return and feasibility analysis to support investment recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong academic record in a quantitative discipline.
  • Relevant capital‑markets, corporate and public finance experience.
  • Experience with structured or private debt investment products, particularly fund financing transactions and securitised products.
  • Familiarity with external credit rating agency methodologies for rating private transactions.
  • Progressing toward a professional qualification (CFA, CAIA or equivalent).
Regulatory Requirements

Successful candidates will be certified under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR), including background checks and annual fitness & properness reviews.
