SLR Consulting seeks an experienced Highways Engineer to lead on complex infrastructure projects and drive work winning within the Transport Engineering Team in London or Manchester. SLR has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Highways Engineer with a track record in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, work winning and business development to join our busy Transport Engineering Team in either London or Manchester. The successful applicant will lead on managing project execution for a wide range of projects, as well as helping grow the team through a combination of business development from new and existing clients. The successful applicant will be supported by the Practice Lead as well as a well‑established team of Engineers to ensure successful outputs are achieved.

You will work independently and within a team to develop new and existing business and deliver projects. You will act as a project manager to manage the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, manage proposal development, undertake business development initiatives and manage clients. You will provide workload to others in the team and other disciplines and will be expected to mentor and coach other engineers within the team and support the sector and client leads across the business.
As a senior member of the team, you will have input into the strategic direction, planning and development of the team, creating new opportunities and prospects, enhancing and broadening team capacity and capability, recruiting new staff, identifying target markets and developing future strategies.
You will work across other sectors with SLR staff in disciplines including the Advisory, Environmental Management and Compliance, Land and Water and Environmental Specialist Services Groups.
