TV&A is responsible for assisting global clients in answering their most challenging problems using five key pillars:
- Innovation & Tech Futures: Explore the latest technologies and build practical use cases in a hands-on approach.
- Enterprise & Business Architecture: Translate business vision into technology strategy to ensure foundational capabilities are in place.
- Transformation & Programme Architecture: Set the strategic vision and blueprint for change across programmes with complex interdependencies.
- Solution Architecture: Develop blueprints to implement tailored solutions with technical assurance, linking to Cloud, cyber, integration and more.
- Architecture Acceleration & Transition: Establish, run and transition the Enterprise Architecture function by developing an Agile Architecture PoV and Architecture function in a Box.

Our Tech Vision & Architecture (TV&A) operating unit in the UK is growing. We are hiring experienced individuals to deliver high-quality consultative services in a dynamic marketplace. You will become a key member of this team, working with global companies and entrepreneurial businesses alike.
Responsibilities
- Lead large client engagements with strong market awareness of architecture, digital technologies, and cloud platforms.
- Lead architecture teams that deliver Enterprise Architecture or technology strategies.
- Lead definition and delivery of the clientrchitecture vision and options analysis & design decisions.
- Lead definition and execution of the clientrchitecture management, governance, and assurance process.
- Lead the development of architecture methods and collateral to build architecture community and capability.
- Use architecture knowledge to support business development, build external eminence, and lead architecture learning and development initiatives.
- Communicate to CTOs/CIOs and board stakeholders on next-generation digital and innovative technology solutions. Drive large, complex, innovative transformation programmes through architecture development and delivery.
- Create propositions driving business development in Banking, Capital Markets, and Investment Management industry.
- Provide mentorship and build competence in TV&A in Banking, Capital Markets and Investment Management domains.
Qualifications
For Associate Director grade, you must demonstrate experience in:
- Strong understanding of financial services businesses, evolving market trends, architecture for enablement, and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying, leading, closing, and supporting sales opportunities in financial services technology with a broad network of contacts.
- Proficiency in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with depth in at least 6 domains: Applications, Data, DevOps, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, ML/AI, Platforms, Security, Integration, Business Architecture or equivalent.
- Experience in large-scale transformation programmes in Banking and Capital Markets.
- Experience advising boards and C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience with financial services applications (e.g., Core Banking, DMS, CRM, BPM, Financial applications) and supporting tech stacks for banking operations.
- Experience with treasury, trading, and market research applications; use of new technologies for digital banking (e.g., AI onboarding), cloud (Banking-as-a-Service), data analytics for risk and customer insights; blockchain/DLT and zero-trust security architecture.
- Ability to build external and internal eminence through thought leadership.
While the role requires Enterprise Architect capabilities across Banking and Capital Markets, candidates should have a depth of expertise in one of the following specialisms to function as a programme delivery architect as well as an enterprise-wide architect.
Specialisms
Banking – core banking specialism
- Core banking architecture for retail banking (accounts, deposits, savings, loans, payments, cards).
- Architecture for retail lending products (mortgages, personal loans).
- Architecture for corporate lending products (term loans, revolving credit, trade finance, asset finance).
- Architecture for loan origination and credit processing for retail and corporate products.
- Experience with core banking vendors (Thought Machine, FIS, Finastra, Oracle, Mambu, 10x) or equivalents.
- Architecture for origination products (nCino, Trade Ledger).
Capital Markets – front and middle office processing
- Broad product understanding across equities, derivatives, rates, and swaps.
- Trading and Portfolio Management expertise, including ESG-related product changes.
- Front office solutions for trade lifecycle, pricing, and fees; middle office for tenor, counterparty, limits and P&L.
- Post-trade processing, messaging, and workflow management; actions leading to accounting solutions.
- Experience integrating or architecting trading risk solutions.
- Understanding of trade research architectures.
- Experience architecting Capital Markets solutions from vendors like Murex or Adenza (Calypso).
