Job summary

Turner & Townsend in London is seeking Associate Directors to lead multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure projects across the lifecycle, working with clients and advisors. Roles are based in London with a hybrid pattern depending on client requirements.

You will mentor and develop project managers, set strategic direction, manage health and safety, and build long-term client relationships while promoting inclusive collaboration across the business.

• Significant experience managing multiple disciplines / teams / advisors / clients on infrastructure projects/programmes across the lifecycle, ideally across sectors and clients. Proven and demonstrable success, and able to challenge / set strategy.
• Excellent leadership skills, capable of setting high standards and managing performance against these, utilising people and resources efficiently to meet and exceed stakeholder expectations. Able to succeed in ambiguous and challenging environments.

Beneficial Experience

• Experience of utilities/water infrastructure project and / or programme management, including end to end lifecycle experience or specialism in development or delivery stages.
• Experience of complex and multiple forms of procurement and managing NEC / other form contracts.
• High level of commercial management including complex commercial arrangements
• Experience of building and leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects and programmes in differing environments, ideally multiple sectors.
• Experience of consultancy and/or client-side project management.
• Familiarity with public sector organisations, non-departmental or arm's length bodies relevant to infrastructure.
• Familiarity with sustainability and application to projects / programmes.
• Delivery within complex operational environments
• Experience of working and reporting in complex stakeholder and regulatory environments

Preferrable qualifications

• Degree level qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
• Chartered status with the APM, ICE, or an equivalent professional institution.
• Project management certification (e.g. APM / PRINCE2 / MSP / ChPP).
• NEC Accreditations or qualifications.
• CSCS / equivalent.
• NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualifications
• CDM awareness
• Sustainability (e.g. Carbon Literacy).
• Soft skills / leadership certification.
