What You Will Get To Do

The Risk Programs Manager (PM) is responsible for overall project planning and coordination. The PM owns the monitoring and communication of project deliverables:

  • Responsible for day-to-day project management and point person for client communication.
  • Responsible for establishing status meetings with the internal SS&C Algorithmics project team, the client project manager and any other required stakeholders where required.
  • The PM needs to anticipate project deviations proactively and be responsible for taking immediate corrective actions. Where the project team is not able to resolve issues, the PM is responsible for escalating such issues to senior management.
  • The PM provides administrative, daily functional direction and support to the project team by adhering to project standards, achievement of milestone targets and monitoring of work against those standards to ensure completion on-time. The PM will be required to track the project and communicate the overall health of the project via status reports and project plans. Monitoring of project costs vs. budget and taking corrective actions will be required to ensure project completion within budget.

Given this is a senior role, in addition to the actual project work, the PM also serves as the central point of contact for all DACH clients, even during periods when no active projects are running. This includes maintaining communication with clients, supporting potential pre-sales activities, and appropriately addressing any client issues within SS&C.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for prospective clients during the pre-sales phase
  • Participate in client discovery sessions to gather high-level requirements and understand business challenges
  • Contribute to the development of proposals, RFP responses, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Present proposed solutions and delivery approaches in a clear and compelling way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with client expectations and organizational capabilities
  • Identify potential risks, delivery challenges, or scope limitations early in the sales process
  • Support strategic account planning and help identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities
What You Will Bring
  • Fluent in English and German
  • A BS/BA Degree or higher
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects or large-scale individual projects
  • Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
  • Ability to track project financials
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry wealth management, brokerage, or retirement
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies creation of business cases, project initiation, development of comprehensive business requirements, and identification of project interdependencies
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business partners, project teams and project managers
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • 5+ years of End-2-End Project Management experience
  • 3+ years Project Management experience in the financial industry
  • Strong client management skills. The PM will be expected to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, act as their key point of contact, and ensure ongoing communication — even during periods without active projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in client-facing environments
  • Solid understanding of project scoping and requirement gathering
  • Ability to translate complex client needs into actionable delivery plans
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across sales, delivery, and product functions
  • High level of professionalism, confidence, and strategic thinking in pre-sales interactions
  • Proven experience working on proposals, pitches, or strategic solutioning for clients
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles, particularly in the financial services industry, is a plus
