Job Summary

The Risk Programs Manager (PM) leads project planning and coordination across SS&C’s DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The PM ensures on‑time, on‑budget delivery, maintains client relationships, and supports pre‑sales activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day project activities and serve as the primary client communication point.
  • Establish and lead status meetings with the internal project team, client project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Anticipate project deviations, take corrective action, and, if unresolved, elevate issues to senior management.
  • Provide daily functional direction, maintain project standards, and monitor milestone achievement.
  • Track project cost versus budget, issuing corrective actions to guarantee completion within budget constraints.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all DACH clients, even between active projects, maintaining communication and addressing client issues.
  • Act as a trusted advisor during pre‑sales: participate in discovery sessions, contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and Statements of Work; present solutions clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align solutions with client expectations and organizational capabilities.
  • Identify early risks, delivery challenges, or scope limitations during the sales process and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support strategic account planning and identify upsell or cross‑sell opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • BS/BA degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of end‑to‑end project management experience, with at least 3 years in the financial industry.
  • Proficiency with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent or large‑scale projects.
  • Track record of delivering high‑risk, complex initiatives.
  • Ability to track project financials and manage budgets.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, including wealth management, brokerage, or retirement.
  • Experience creating business cases, comprehensive requirements, and identifying interdependencies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project).
  • Strong client‑management skills and capacity to build trusted relationships.
  • Superior stakeholder management and collaboration across sales, delivery, and product functions.
  • Proven experience with proposals, pitches, and strategic solutioning.
  • Fluency in English and German.
