What We're Looking For

We have a new opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Improvement Network division, working within the Measurement Team. This role reports to the Director for Measurement and will lead a diverse portfolio of work focused on measurement for improvement and capacity and demand. We're looking for someone who brings strategic insight, a deep understanding of organisational culture, and the ability to work across complex, multi-site systems. You'll be joining a team that values curiosity, collaboration and a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support to organisations across a varied and complex portfolio, with a focus on improvement and measurement.
  • Lead the co‑design and delivery of support programmes that are tailored to local needs and aligned with NHS Elect's strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across NHS Elect and with external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure programmes are designed and delivered in a way that reflects the organisation's values and priorities.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, helping to attract, develop and retain talented staff who are committed to delivering high‑quality care.
  • Understand and interpret the priorities of board‑level sponsors, ensuring that NHS Elect's work reflects and supports their strategic intentions.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, using your expertise in organisational development to assess needs, design interventions, and create environments that support adult learning and meaningful change.
