Job summary

Gridlines is seeking a senior financial modeling leader in the UK to guide teams across active assignments and drive the development of advanced models for strategic decision-making.

You will shape modeling methodologies, discuss commercial issues with clients, and lead planning, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery. A strong accounting/finance background and Excel expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of relevant experience in a financial role within advisory or large corporate setting.
• Deep understanding of accounting concepts; accounting qualification beneficial.
• Experience with Project Finance, Corporate Finance or Financial Planning concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability in building and operating financial models in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the development and enhancement of our financial modeling methodologies and tools, driving continuous improvement and innovation

Operations:

• Lead multiple teams across a portfolio of active assignments

• Train, motivate and lead junior team members on assignments

• Simplify complex financial model issues to make them understandable for non-technical stakeholders.

Growth:

• Lead in the business development and growth ambitions of a key sector of the business
• Lead in the development of client pitches
• Lead client calls and build client relationships

Requirements

• An in-depth understanding of accounting concepts, an accounting qualification beneficial
• An in-depth understanding of Project Finance, Corporate Finance or Financial Planning concepts
• Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and operating financial models using Excel
• Degree qualified in a numerate discipline, with a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance beneficial
• Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable
