Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Director of Medical Education for Quality to lead monitoring, assurance and improvement of postgraduate medical and dental training across the Trust.

The post holder will work with the Director of Medical Education and the Medical Education Leadership Team to provide specialist advice, support departments to evidence and enhance training quality, and prepare for internal and external reviews.

Qualifications

• Senior medical practitioner with GMC registration and a substantive contract with the Trust.
• Interest in Medical Education and experience as a supervisor or tutor supervising residents or medical students.
• Knowledge of quality management, QA and improvement in medical education and training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality of training programmes, posts and placements across the Trust.
• Develop and monitor action plans to address areas of concern and provide assurance on quality.
• Lead and contribute to the Medical Education Leadership Team and external review processes.
