Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers in Sevenoaks seeks an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join as Associate Director, leading design and delivery of structural projects and mentoring engineers.

You will manage client relationships, develop business, ensure Eurocode compliance, and contribute to strategic growth while working in a hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• Chartered Structural Engineer with MIStructE or MICE.
• Extensive UK structural consultancy experience.
• Strong leadership and client-facing skills.
• Experience with Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors.
• Manage project teams from concept through to completion.
• Carry out structural inspections, surveys and site investigations.
• Prepare and review technical reports and structural assessments.
• Review, check and approve calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with Eurocodes and current UK standards.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Salary: Salary up to £85,000 (maybe more DOE) + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join a well-established and respected structural and civil engineering consultancy as an Associate Director. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to take the next step into a senior leadership position, helping shape the future direction of a growing practice while delivering a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects.

The successful Associate Director will lead the delivery of structural engineering projects from inception through to completion, whilst managing client relationships, mentoring engineers and contributing to the strategic growth of the business. The practice works across a broad range of sectors including education, commercial, residential, sports facilities, heritage, regeneration, faade and recladding schemes, together with specialist civil engineering structures.
