We are seeking proactive and detail-oriented Operational Clinicians to support the safe and effective delivery of our neurodevelopmental services. This role combines clinical expertise with operational oversight, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day clinical queries, supporting ADHD and ASD pathways, contributing to clinical governance, and ensuring high-quality care across the service., Clinical Support & Oversight

Responsibilities
  • Provide timely clinical guidance on ADHD assessments, medication titration, side effects management, ASD pathways, and other queries escalated beyond administrative teams.
  • Serve as a clinical escalation point for queries from internal teams and practicing clinicians.
  • Issue prescriptions when required, including re-issuing scripts that have been lost or need correction.
  • Support the employed Medicine Management Specialists with medication-related or clinical pathway queries.
  • Ensure consistent clinical cover across key functions, including side-effects monitoring, rota oversight, and mailbox triage.
  • Participate in and/or coordinate complex MDT discussions, ensuring appropriate follow-up and clinical governance.
  • Lead interviews with clinician candidates and provide recommendations to inform hiring decisions.
Clinical Governance, Complaints & Incidents
  • Support the investigation of clinical incidents and clinical complaints, ensuring compassionate, thorough, and timely responses.
  • Contact clinicians involved in incidents or complaints to gather information, offer support, and assist with reflective practice and learning.
  • Provide clinical advice on incident categorisation, risk assessment, and escalation pathways.
  • Assist in the drafting, updating, and implementation of SOPs, particularly where improvements are required following incidents, complaints, or audit findings.
  • Support CQC-related clinical actions, including those arising from internal audits or the current self‑assessment programme.
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities, including reviewing incident trends, lessons learned, and compliance monitoring.
Clinician Procurement
  • Conduct clinician assessments for ASD and/or ADHD pathways.
Data & Information Governance Support
  • Assist in reviewing clinical information prepared for release in Subject Access Requests (SARs) or data deletion requests, ensuring accuracy and safeguarding compliance.
  • Review external reports or documentation that require clinical interpretation before being shared or actioned.
Operational Collaboration & Service Improvement
  • Provide clear clinical interpretation to support operational decision‑making and workflow improvements.
  • Advise on clinical‑safe processes throughout patient pathways, identifying opportunities to strengthen quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Support training, onboarding, and upskilling of operational colleagues to improve their understanding of clinical processes.
  • Participate in recruitment processes, including interviewing clinicians where required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure robust handovers, clinical communication, and smooth‑running care pathways.
Qualifications
  • Registered healthcare professional (e.g., Nurse, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Physician Associate, or other relevant clinician).
  • Current professional registration with a relevant governing body (NMC, HCPC, GMC, etc.).
  • Experience in ADHD/ASD clinical pathways, including assessments and medication management.
  • Strong understanding of clinical risk, incident management, and safeguarding principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and operational teams.
