Job description

RECON Search are working with a global research agency, who are looking for an Associate Director.

The Associate Director position is responsible for leading the team in the overall execution and delivery of comms research including monitoring and evaluating campaign performance to developing communication strategy across a range of clients covering diverse sectors, from media to FMCG to gaming.

What you will be doing

This is an interesting and varied role including:

  • Taking a lead in account management with a focus on developing existing client relationships and getting involved in growing the business. You'll propel the engagement strategy, design the research content, and tell the stories that provide actionable insights and impact our clients business decisions every day.
  • Working with, and leading, client account teams to ensure the client needs are met through successful delivery of high quality fieldwork, accurate and timely data, powerful insights and recommendations, and on‑going project developments.
  • Working closely with clients to ensure you fully understand their business, motivations and the impact of your work. Through building great relationships with clients you'll use your knowledge to contribute towards winning new business and training existing clients.
  • Along with a Director, you'll lead project teams here in the UK. Part of your responsibility will include managing & motivating the project teams to ensure efficient and profitable research execution, alongside Line Management and development of less experienced members of the team. You'll also have active involvement in the recruitment of new team members.
  • As some of our accounts are global, you'll work closely with our colleagues in across the globe, including international fieldwork and client service teams.
  • You'll have the opportunity to get involved in wider initiatives across the business including Thought Leadership pieces.
About you

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in quantitative market research or consumer insights at least at Research Manager level but you may already be an Associate Director.
  • A passion for brand and comms.
  • Proven experience of meeting clients needs.
  • You'll be adept at managing your time and multi‑task with a positive, can‑do attitude.
  • You'll enjoy managing multiple projects.
  • Experience of managing, developing and motivating individuals and teams.
  • Solid research skills including questionnaire & study design, project processes, sampling and basic analytical techniques.
  • You'll be collaborative and an excellent team player, contributing to our very positive office culture!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
