Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced candidate for a senior role in large scale water and waste infrastructure projects in Greater London. Ideal applicants will have over 10 years of experience in project finance or infrastructure investment, particularly in the renewable sectors. Strong analytical, negotiating skills and the ability to train junior staff are essential. A degree in finance, economics, or law, plus an MBA, is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial infrastructure or financial institution with project finance background.
  • Solid experience in large scale infrastructure transactions.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and develop large scale water and waste infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee financial modelling and due diligence processes.
  • Lead negotiations of key project documents.

Job description
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the team in the origination, development, structuring, negotiating and bidding for large scale water and waste infrastructure projects and/or M&A transactions within water, environment and renewable sectors
  • Oversee financial modelling and due diligence processes within team and manage advisors
  • Lead financing and structure / negotiate key project documents, including EPC, SPA etc
  • Review and input into legal, commercial and technical documentation, as required, for optimised project structuring
  • Negotiate shareholder agreements for equity sell downs
  • Perform asset management role once projects reach financial close
  • Prepare information memorandums and internal approval papers
  • Train and develop junior staff
Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, law, with MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years prior experience in a leading industrial infrastructure player or financial institution with project finance or infrastructure investment background, ideally with a power, water or energy from waste background
  • Solid and relevant experience in large scale infrastructure transactions with a proven track record
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical and negotiating skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and on short notice
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written skill
  • Eligible to work in UK without restriction
