Job summary

Bupa Dental Care in Cardiff Canton is seeking an Associate Dentist for a fixed-term role through March 2027. The position offers a balanced mix of NHS and private work, with a collaborative team and strong support for professional growth.

You will perform comprehensive exams, preventative care, routine and complex restorations, and emergency care while building a patient base focused on long-term outcomes and access for new patients. The practice provides modern equipment and marketing support.

Qualifications

• GDC registered dentist eligible to practise in Wales.
• Welsh NHS performer number or eligibility.
• Experience in both private and NHS settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive exams and risk-based recalls.
• Provide preventative and restorative care, including urgent care when needed.
• Manage patient cohort to focus on long-term outcomes.

Your role

You’ll deliver a broad range of private and NHS treatments, in line with the NHS Wales reform framework, including:

• Comprehensive exams and risk-based recalls
• Preventative and oral health care
• Routine and complex restorative treatments
• Urgent and emergency care for new and existing patients

You’ll manage your own patient cohort, focusing on long-term outcomes, access for new patients, and prioritising clinical need—giving you more time to deliver high-quality care.

Established 5 surgery practice, offers modern working environment, fully computerised, Dentally Software, digital x-ray and Apex Locator. The practice has experienced longstanding associates in situ and an excellent team of qualified experienced support staff.
