Job summary

MBR Dental Recruitment is assisting a Musselburgh practice to recruit an Associate Dentist on a permanent basis. The role offers a 4-day week with a mix of NHS, Plan and Private dentistry and potential for specialist work. You will have clinical freedom and access to mentorship across implants, Invisalign, cosmetics and endodontics.

There is ongoing CPD, in-house education, and opportunities such as sponsored Masters within a supportive independent group. Practice operates Mon-Thu 8:30am-6pm.

Qualifications

• GDC registered dentist required with clear professional standing.
• Active list number required to practice.
• Disclosure certificate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide NHS, Plan and Private dentistry as part of a mixed practice.
• Offer specialist/advanced dentistry alongside general dentistry.
• Maintain diary and material management with clinical autonomy.

Associate Dentist / Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland / Mon to Thurs

MBR Dental are currently assisting a dental practice located in Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland to recruit an Associate Dentist on a permanent basis.

Position Details:

• Available as soon as possible.
• Notice periods are taken into consideration.
• Part time opportunity, 4 days per week.
• Practice is open Monday to Thursday 8.30am-6pm.
• Working hours to be discussed.
• Belongs to an independently owned dental group.

Remuneration & Benefits:

• Associate Dentist will inherit an established list of NHS, Plan and Private.
• Opportunity to offer specialist/advanced dentistry alongside general dentistry.
• Good mix of NHS & Private paid at a 50% split.
• Typical earnings of £80,000-£150,000 per year (based on 4 days per week).
• Associates will have full clinical freedom over diaries and materials.
• Mentorship and shadowing opportunities in Implants, Invisalign, Cosmetic Dentistry, Facial Aesthetics, and Endodontics from industry experts across the group.
• Access to annual CPD events plus Dental Tubules CPD membership.
• In-house educational opportunities, such as sponsored Masters.
• Dentist will be paid monthly.

Practice Details:

• 5 surgery practice with5 Dentists already in situ.
• Clinical support from a Therapist and experience Nurses.
• Computerised with SOE software.
• Clinipads, Digital X-Rays and Rotary Endo in surgeries.

Location and Travel:

• Easily commutable from East/South Edinburgh, Edinburgh City Centre, Portobello, Dalkeith, Wallyford, and Haddington
• 15-20-minute walk from train station.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience in Advanced Dentistry.
• Dentist with a Special Interest.
