Overview

The CTC is responsible for the development and conduct of clinical trials to evaluate new approaches to the treatment of cancer and is a UKCRC Registered Clinical Trials Unit. The CTC has a portfolio which includes multicentre phase III trials using survival, tumour response and quality of life as endpoints. The portfolio also encompasses phase I and II, some with biological endpoints, and there is an interest in screening studies within the organisation. CTC staff collaborate with clinicians and research staff in the UK and abroad.

This is a 12‑month internal secondment role available to current UCL staff only. The post holder will be part of a centralised data management team working on phase I, II and III trials. He/she will have general data and administrative duties within the team and specific responsibilities for one or more trials. The post holder will assist Database Developers in the design, development, testing and maintenance of OpenClinica clinical trial databases.

The post holder will have knowledge of the different phases of clinical trials, and the design and aims of each, as well as an understanding of the processes involved in developing clinical trial databases. Experience in data entry and using databases is essential.

The Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre (CTC) is part of the Cancer Institute at University College London.
