Job description

The Associate Data Scientist will expertly analyse data generated by a bespoke microarray platform to generate high quality reports for our clients in adherence to set service level agreements and deadlines. This would be a fantastic role for someone with a scientific background looking to utilise their skills in a data driven role with the opportunity to work closely with clients and Project Leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse data generated by the scientific team using the Retrogenix cell microarray platform, including data interrogation, QC, problem solving and interpretation.
  • Assist with compilation of high-quality images and summary reports for clients, based on appropriate reporting templates and client‑specific requirements, ensuring a clear and accurate record of the study and results.
  • Develop an understanding of the Retrogenix Cell Microarray technology platform.
  • Present work internally and contribute to improving efficiency, assisting in continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Manage a fast-moving environment with >50 simultaneous projects and varied client deadlines, working flexibly and responding to tight deadlines to meet business needs.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with Project Managers, Project Leaders, scientific teams, and stakeholders, and gain firsthand experience in data quality management and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics or similar; MSc preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Retrogenix Cell Microarray Technology.
  • Some hands‑on experience working with scientific data preferred.
  • Additional experience in a CRO/Biotech data‑focused role highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Strong track record of scientific/statistical problem solving.
