We’re working with a well-respected, forward-thinking law firm to help them appoint an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to their Bishop’s Stortford office. This is a great opportunity for a lawyer with solid experience who’s ready to take on more complex work, develop their expertise, and build strong relationships with a wide range of clients.

The firm has a long-standing presence in the region and is known for its friendly culture, modern approach, and commitment to supporting its people. You’ll be joining a busy, well-established Commercial Property team that handles interesting, high-quality matters for businesses, organisations, and commercial clients across the area.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work on a variety of commercial property matters, including both independent transactions and cases where you’ll support senior lawyers. Your work will include:

• Managing commercial property files with appropriate supervision
• Drafting contracts and preparing reports for clients
• Reviewing titles and dealing with registrations
• Carrying out and reporting on searches (local, index map, and others)
• Handling exchanges and advising clients throughout the process

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills further and take on increasingly complex and substantial matters as your confidence and experience grow.

What we’re looking for

We’re open-minded, but the role is likely to suit someone with:

• Around 4+ years’ PQE in commercial property
• The ability to manage files independently
• Strong analytical and drafting skills
• A commercially aware approach, with an interest in understanding clients’ wider goals
• A calm, communicator who can build trust with clients and colleagues
