Job summary

A leading legal recruitment agency is seeking an Associate Attorney (Japanese Speaking) in London. The ideal candidate will provide legal consultation, draft contracts, and assist with court filings. Qualified attorneys from Japan or the UK, as well as recent bar exam passers, are encouraged to apply. This full-time position offers a hybrid work model, allowing up to 2 days of remote work per week.

Qualifications

  • Qualified attorney in Japan or the United Kingdom, including recent bar exam passers or those who have completed legal training.
  • Strong interest in legal practice and a willingness to learn.
  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and ability to work collaboratively.

Position: Associate Attorney (Japanese Speaking)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible upon mutual agreement
Location: London (Hybrid Work Model – up to 2 days/week remote)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal consultation and client support

  • Draft and review contracts and legal documents

  • Prepare court filings and related documentation

  • Assist with legal procedures including mediation, litigation, and negotiations; attend court as needed

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and legal opinions

  • Participate in client meetings and provide regular updates

  • Attend internal training sessions and study groups

Required Qualifications
  • Qualified attorney in Japan or the United Kingdom (including recent bar exam passers or those who have completed legal training)

  • Strong interest in legal practice and a willingness to learn

  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and ability to work collaboratively

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email, etc.)
