Are you a detail-driven finance professional ready to take ownership of high-impact property accounting? Join a dynamic Financial Accounting team that's committed to delivering best-in-class reporting and control across a vast retail estate.

As Associate Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing the monthly accounting for property costs across 300+ retail stores. Working within a team of four, you'll collaborate closely with external service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance (IFRS 16 & IAS 17), and actionable insights.

Responsibilities
  • Own the monthly accounting, reporting, and analysis of retail property costs
  • Lead balance sheet reconciliations and variance resolution meetings
  • Support audit activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Provide financial analysis and project support across the wider accounting function
  • Partner with commercial finance teams during budgeting cycles
Qualifications
  • Degree-level education or equivalent
  • IAS17 Accounting
  • Transactional Accounting (Balance sheet recons, payment processing, posting of journals, month end and balance sheet recons)
  • Retail accounting (processing rent, property costs, rates, utilities, costings of retail stores)
  • Experience in financial accounting, ideally within property or retail
  • Clear communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
