Job Description

As an Associate Accountant you will be expected to:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate year end accounts, VAT returns.
  • Assist in the ongoing management accounting and cloud accounting uptake/integration from clients.
  • Support the reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Associate Accountant should have:

  • A degree or qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience or familiarity with accounting software and tools (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of financial principles and regulations.
  • Ideally experience working with various accounting software - Xero, Sage, QuickBooks (desirable not necessary).
  • Will be able to commute to Newcastle upon Tyne.
