A supplier of automotive parts in the UK is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager. This role involves supporting the Warehouse Manager in day-to-day warehouse operations and leading a team of 10 staff while maintaining high productivity and safety standards. Qualifications

Job description

Working for a supplier of automotive parts, this small, established and very successful business has created this new position of Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in the day to day management of the warehouse, as well as being hands on in a range of associated duties.

We envisage the successful person will have acted in either a Managerial or Team Leader capacity, to have the necessary experience and breadth of knowledge for the position, ideally demonstrating the ability to optimise processes, helping with receipt, storage, movement and despatch of goods and all associated paperwork.

You will help ensure efficiency and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity, being involved in everything from forklift truck driving, both Counterbalance, and ideally Reach, to offload deliveries through to assisting in the management of 10 staff and close liaison with the office functions, such as procurement, administration and sales.

This position requires strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, the ability to liaise between departments, a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and a calm approach.

Experience & Qualifications
