About the Team

The Governance & Legal Services team provides expert support to Goldsmiths, overseeing corporate and academic governance, supporting Council and committee operations, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks. Key areas of responsibility includes legal casework, student casework, information governance, and data protection.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Assistant University Secretary to support the University Secretary and lead on key governance and compliance initiatives. You’ll help shape and implement improvements to our governance framework, oversee internal audit and risk management processes, and ensure our policies and controls meet the highest standards.

You’ll work collaboratively across the university and with external stakeholders to deliver effective governance support, enhance operational arrangements, and maintain legal and regulatory compliance.

You’re a strategic and experienced governance professional with a deep understanding of higher education policy and regulatory frameworks. You enjoy working with senior stakeholders and translating complex requirements into clear, actionable improvements.
