An international insurance company in London is seeking an experienced Assistant Underwriter to support underwriting processes and develop new business opportunities. This hybrid role requires strong communication and analytical skills to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring profitability and compliance with legal standards. You will work on diverse product lines in a collaborative environment as the company continues its growth momentum.

We are increasing our QPS (QBE Portfolio Solutions) offerings, hiring several roles based out of our London offices with flexible working available. Covering both Lloyd’s and syndicate business our book of delegated business operating across a number of product lines on an international scale. With classes of business including Property, Financial Lines, Casualty, Marine and Energy this is the fastest growing division within QBE International.
We have a newly created role for an Assistant Underwriter to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to work closely with multiple departments across QBE, with full exposure across the underwriting lifecycle. Partnering with brokers you will be involved in deciding on contracts and premiums for large, technical lines of business whilst developing new opportunities to further grow our existing portfolio.
This role is very relationship driven, both internally and externally, with a portfolio lens across varied product lines worldwide. We are keen to speak with underwriting professionals from any business class who are looking to work within a close-knit team at the start of significant book growth.
Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
