The role supports the Construction Team to provide the Underwriters with administrative support to help ensure that all reporting and binding targets are met.

Main Tasks

  1. Completing data entry of risks underwritten on to the underwriting system.
  2. Sanctions checking using the corporate software.
  3. Achieve the agreed training program which includes:
    1. Understanding the risk decisions, selection and underwriting.
    2. Progressive training towards ACII qualification.
    3. Attend Lloyd’s briefings on appropriate issues concerning the unit.
  4. Understanding the risk decisions, selection and underwriting process and reviewing the slips written to ensure underwriting standards are maintained.
  5. Maintain, where appropriate, office files and systems.
  6. Collate all relevant information required for any internal/external audits.
  7. Scan on and maintain electronic files on Swordfish.
  8. Assist in the maintaining and monitoring of aggregates.
  9. Responsibility for contract certainty checks.
  10. First point of contact for credit control issues.
  11. Exception reports.
  12. Reviewing underwriting information and creating a preliminary rating model for policies.
  13. Contacting brokers to request information when it is missing.
  14. Complete all relevant terrorism returns.
  15. Representing Axis at CCAL meetings.
  16. Attend Broker meetings where appropriate.
  17. Use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures.
  18. At all times consider the effect of any actions taken on the customers of Axis with the intention of improving their experience.
  19. All Employees must endeavour to provide accurate, complete and appropriate data, in accordance with Axis’s Data Policy, as part of their roles and responsibilities at all times.
