Job description

Our client is seeking an Assistant Trust Manager to take administrative responsibility for a complex portfolio of trusts, companies, and other wealth structures. This role involves delivering high-quality client service, identifying and mitigating risk, and supporting the management of a team through training and coaching. The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of client commitments and contribute to business development opportunities.

Job Duties:

  • Manage a complex portfolio of trusts, companies, and other wealth structures, ensuring first-class service.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the team, ensuring high standards of client service.
  • Identify client needs, enhance service levels, and explore business development opportunities.
  • Assist in managing the team by providing constructive performance feedback and supporting professional development.
  • Conduct periodic performance appraisals for team members to facilitate their growth.
  • Ensure client commitments are met to agreed deadlines and to a high standard.
  • Identify and mitigate risk across the portfolio, escalating issues where necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-6+ years of experience working with high-net-worth clients and complex fiduciary structures.
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and manage technical and complex transactions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fiduciary structures and an awareness of industry developments.
  • Experience in training and coaching team members to develop their skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Relevant professional qualification (such as STEP or ICSA or similar).
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
  • Commitment to maintaining Continued Professional Development (CPD) in line with qualifications.
