Our client, a reputable organisation within the Highways sector, is currently seeking an Assistant/Traffic Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in a South London Borough and focuses on the design and implementation of traffic schemes.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and drafting traffic schemes, including road markings, traffic signs, and signal layouts
  • Producing detailed plans and technical drawings for various traffic management projects
  • Conducting site assessments and surveys to gather necessary data for design
  • Collaborating with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and guidelines
  • Preparing reports and providing technical support to project teams
  • Assisting in public consultations to gather community feedback on proposed traffic schemes
  • Monitoring the implementation of traffic schemes to ensure adherence to designs
Qualifications
