A prestigious educational institution in Oxford is seeking an Assistant Technician to support a busy calendar of productions. In this role, you'll assist the Technical Manager in maintaining high standards of technical service for theatre companies, while also supporting curricular and extra-curricular Drama events. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of various technical theatre aspects including lighting and sound. If you offer technical theatre expertise, a passion for the arts, and are excited about working on a busy calendar of productions, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at an award‑winning arts centre in Oxford. As Assistant Technician, you will work alongside the Technical Manager and the Senior Technician in maintaining a very high standard of technical service to all incoming theatre companies, artists and hirers of The North Wall arts centre. You will be expected to assist in providing in‑house technical support to productions and projects in development and rehearsals and possibly also support taking productions on tour and to festivals for certain periods of the year. The role also provides support in serving the technical requirements of curricular and extra‑curricular Drama at St Edward's School, and other non‑Drama‑related events within the building. You will need to have a working knowledge of technical theatre work, including lighting, sound and audio‑visual.
