Overview

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare support services? Join our dedicated Sterile Services team as an Assistant Technical Officer - Decontamination, where your work will directly impact patient safety and care across the Trust. This is a hands-on, operational role based in the Sterile Services Department, supporting the safe and effective delivery of healthcare services across the Trust. You will work across multiple areas of the Decontamination Service with a focus on maintaining high standards of infection prevention and patient safety.

This role offers a fast-paced, regulated environment with full training and opportunities to develop skills and progress within the decontamination and sterile services field.

Responsibilities
  • Sterile Services – reprocessing surgical instruments and procedure packs.
  • Mattress Decontamination – cleaning and reprocessing pressure-relieving and dynamic mattresses.
  • Endoscopy Decontamination – supporting the safe turnaround of endoscopic equipment.
